From Containerboard Manufacturing to Integrated Packaging Solutions
At the international exhibition RosUpack 2025, Consolidated Paper Mills has announced a pivotal shift in its strategic framework. CPM is evolving its market leadership in containerboard production into a comprehensive role as a provider of integrated paper and cardboard packaging solutions. Dmitry Dulkin, the head of Consolidated Paper Mills, spoke about this during his interview for the industry publication Upackunion.
The speaker noted that CPM has diversified beyond its core containerboard production, expanding its product portfolio to include a comprehensive suite of integrated packaging solutions. The new business paradigm was also showcased at the Company’s booth at RosUpack 2025, themed Transformation, emphasizing a commitment to business expansion and ongoing development.
The Company currently manufactures corrugated packaging and a range of paper bags—from gift options to recycled varieties—which have a significant presence across major retail chains. And following the integration of Troitsk Paper Mill into CPM, Consolidated Paper Mills has expanded its product offering to include value-added solutions such as vegetable parchment, V-bottom bags, moisture-resistant and composite paper. These materials are broadly applied across food service and healthcare packaging. Furthermore, the entities comprising CPM manufacture multilayer cardboard, a key component in the production of packaging solutions.
’We are recalibrating our operational approach to meet dynamic market expectations. Beyond our core containerboard manufacturing, we engineer packaging solutions that address customer needs of maximizing shelf-life, reinforcing corporate identity, improving consumer ease, reducing logistics costs and minimizing ecological impact. For example, our vegetable parchment and recycled paper solutions serve as sustainable alternatives to petrochemical-based products, thus reducing the carbon footprint. This is the new CPM paradigm’, Dmitry Dulkin emphasized.
He noted that the adoption of sustainable business practices is now fundamentally mirrored in the operational framework of Consolidated Paper Mills. The Company currently incorporates specialized recycling entities, underscoring CPM’s steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
’We are committed not merely to adapting to changes, but to maintaining a strategic vanguard, enabling the delivery of highly effective and pertinent solutions,’ Dmitry Dulkin said at the interview. Beyond the Company’s internal objectives, these transformations are driven by a comprehensive understanding of the current challenges facing the packaging industry. CRM is systematically focused on engineering sustainable solutions for enduring market relevance and long-term viability.’
